Salt Lake City - Current 6-8th grade Students

2017 DATES: (coming soon)

Our annual trek over the mountains to Salt Lake City provides current 6th - 8th (2015-2016 school year) graders with the chance to encounter domestic poverty and competing world views.  Students provide hope and light to many political refugees from all around the world who are struggling to make ends meet.  Add in the opportunity to interact with the Mormon community, and students walk away with new levels of faith that's been forged by challenging experiences.

*We are no longer taking high school leaders on this trip.

Peru - Current 9-12 grade students

2017 DATES: (COMING SOON)

This year we will be partnering with Compassion International and returning to the amazing country of Peru. While there we will be traveling to various Compassion sites to love students, build relationships, and build community.

Estonia - CURRENT 9-12 grade students

2017 DATES: (COMING SOON)

Estonia has one of the highest levels of irreligious individuals in the world, with over 76% of the population stating no specific religious affiliation. Due to years of communist persecution and teaching atheism and agnosticism is strongly present. The result is that the spirituality is just now emerging among the young people of Estonia.

Woodmen Students will be serving at English Camps lead by Josiah Venture in direct partnership with the local church. We will be helping Estonian teens sharpen their skills in conversational English but the greater purpose that through these peer-to-peer interactions relationships will be built and the love of Jesus shared. In modeling relational evangelism we hope that the Estonian Christian students, who have never spent extended time discussing their faith and sharing their lives with their agnostic friends, will be better equipped to do so.

Finally, we can’t think of a better way to equip our students in reaching their peers back home.  The opportunity to help coach their friends in Estonia will also serve to reinforce the opportunities afforded them every day.

Kenya - CURRENT 9-12 GRADE STUDENTS

2017 DATES: (COMING SOON)

In July we will be returning to Kenya, Africa to work with Cure International. Cure is an amazing organization that helps children that suffer from deformities such as, clubfoot or cleft pallet. Often times, in African culture, when a child is born with any type of deformity they are seen as cursed. These children will often times be hidden away and shunned from their communities. Coming to Cure gives these children a new hope on what their future is going to hold. Our students team will be helping the hospital in a number of ways, building relationships, and furthering their view of how big our God really is.
